According to reports, Manchester United are in pole position to sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic this summer.
As noted by the Telegraph,
the Red Devils are the clear favourites to sign the Swedish superstar,
who will become a free agent at the season’s end, following the expiry
of his contract at Paris Saint-Germain.
The report states that
United are prepared to meet the player’s demands—which are likely to be
extensive considering the club will not need to pay a transfer fee—and
that super-agent Mino Raiola has insisted that money will not be an
issue.
The player is understood to want £300,000-per-week
post-tax, although following his sterling year in France, he well may be
worth the outlay for a Red Devils side currently lacking character and
offensive menace.
Swedish
superstar Ibrahimovic may be 34, but the forward has still managed an
exceptional 36 goals in 30 league appearances this term, helping PSG to a
fourth consecutive French title, which they clinched in record time.
