ARE YOU RAISING A BRAT? - WAYS TO KNOW

Image result for brat

Parenting sure is not an easy task, there is a whole lot of pressure on you as a parent and you’ve got to take responsibilities for some many things, all to guide your family right.

You’ve got to take responsibilities for whatever wrong your child does; your lack of involvement in whatever happens to your child, will term you a neglectful parent.

While you might not e responsible for all of your child’s action, some of their  actions are definitely your fault . So here are ways to know if it is your fault that your child is a spoilt brat.

WHEN YOU MAKE THEM EXCUSES
If you always make excuses for your kids rather than let them express themselves over their action, then you have never really helped matters. you need to make your child take responsibilities for their actions, they should be accountable for their actions.

BLAMING THEIR ACTIONS ON CHILDHOOD
If you always blame your kids action on their youthfulness then you’re responsible for who they turn out to become eventually, what you are doing is making them self reliant, irresponsible and immature.

Let them know they’ve got to work for what they want and they can get what they want all the time.Allow them take blame for their actions, letting them know this is as a result of what they’ve chosen to do of their own freewill. be ready to reprimand them.
WHEN YOU ARE ALWAYS AT YOUR KIDS SERVICE
Being at your kids service at all time would not help them make any impact in the society rather it will make them less relevant and self reliant expecting you to fawn over them all the time.Let them know you can’t always be available to do things for them at all time.

FAILURE TO SET BOUNDARIES
if you still have not some boundaries for your child and make them know what you can do for them, then you’ve been raising a spoilt brat all the while.do not constantly give into your child’s demand, this wont let them learn the most important life lessons.

Understand that this is no way to make your kids suffer or feel not well taken care of, it is only a way to get them into becoming responsible and accountable individuals later in life.
