Padding Whistle Blower, Jibrin goes ‘romantic’ as APC embargoes further allegations

Abdulmumin Jibrin

Following the embargo placed by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), on the former
Chairman, House Committee on Appropriation, Hon. Abdulmumin Jibrin, asking him to stop leveling further allegations against the Yakubu Dogara-led leadership of the House of Representatives in public, Jibrin on Thursday, went ‘romantic.’ Jibrin in a dramatic u-turn took to Twitter to celebrate his wife, saying “Since I can’t post anything else, let me just celebrate my wife…”

Recall that the APC, earlier on Thursday, in a letter through its Deputy National Chairman, North, barred Jibrin to stop leveling further allegations against the leadership of the Green Chambers. The letter read:

“As you are aware, the party, and indeed the government, has not been happy over the recent development in the house of representatives over the issue of the 2016 budget. We found it embarrassing to have to deal with another new phenomenon you tagged ‘budget padding.

“Arising from the series of meetings we held with you over the subject matter, the national working committee had decided to request you to henceforth avoid issuing any public statement on this matter. This includes statements through social media or other means of transmitting an opinion on the matter to the public, as the party is now looking into it towards finding possible solution.”

Also recall that since July 21 when Jibrin made his first allegation of budget-padding against Speaker Yakubu Dogara, and three other leaders of the house, he has continued to make series of allegations against the quartet.
